I am pleased to say that my new CDE-9887 Alpine is on it's way here, I'm stoked. I have been ahppy with my pioneer fill in, but no other brand seems to have the skip resistance or error correction of an Alpine transport. Not to mention Burr-Brown Dacs. I'll finally have great sound again.

24 Bit DAC
As Alpine’s top CD player, the CDA-9887 uses a Image24-Bit Burr-Brown D/A converter and other leading-edge technologies to provide wide dynamic range and high precision sound reproduction. Naturally, the sound from MP3, WMA and AAC playback is also outstanding.

Not doing a group buy..... well yet...... I haven't heard back from a moderator on RX-8 club yet. I will be PMing a different Mod about getting one started and what is required. I already have ordered mine.
