I don't know if they are out here yet (here being the US), but some photos from a photographer in Canada:

Zeta chassis (fully independent rear suspension) + LS3 + hot styling= Hottest Camaro ever!
Seriously, I would LOVE to pick up a new Camaro, but they're just not practical or else I would be on a waiting list right now. The combination of lack of a usable back seat (which has been important since my son was born), and RWD make it a dim perspective.
GM is making quite a few cars I really like here lately... the Camaro, the Pontiac G8 (mmmmm GXP), C6 Corvette, Solstice GXP, Cobalt SS (at least from a performance aspect), ect. I really hope The General is able to weather the current storm and come out better for it, as I could see myself rocking a GM product sometime in the future.

thats true. The base V6 is actually nice for once, but i'd still have to go with the 8 on a Camaro... Wonder if the SS will be scratched out

I totally agree....I've been at odds with this for awhile now. Bottom line, I just don't think America can, or will, allow GM to go under. With that said- unions don't help (what so ever), GM paying out the rear for past employees/pensions doesn't help, and most certainly not the new mandates for GM/etc. (i.e. forcing the production of alternative fuel vehicles) which cost significantly more to develop/produce and cost FAR too much to the end user. [I'm still trying to figure our how that will increase car sales?] That is the point isn't it? For US manufacturers to better themselves, retool, and in turn be able to pay back the "loan"?
GM is burning through the bail out money (i.e. our non-existent US dollar) quicker than fuel being thrown on fire:(
