I used to have a problem with my steering wheel in the way but I swapped to a MOMO with a detachable hub, and it pulled it toward me more. My knees actually touch under the wheel now hahaha. I'm not sure that would help you though haha.
If you're gonna wear the clown suit you need a few more people though haha.
