Cutting springs??

That's what I plan on doing.... I understand that everyone says that it's not a good idea....but I have the stock springs and I can always replace the aftermarket set....So here's to hopefully not throwing a few hundred $$ down the drain....
There are some Vogtland springs that are supposed to lower 1.6". How much of a drop are you looking for? Very few springs go more than that. I think the Eibach sportlines on some cars can give a 2" drop, but generally to go lower than 1.5-1.6" you need coilovers.

The Vogtlands drop are about the same as the Pedders...between 1.25"-1.4" after they settle...I'm wanting a 1.75"+ drop...There is not an Eibach kit out yet for the CX-7....Most springs on the market for my car are about a 30mm to 40mm drop....
This site says they are 1.6" (40mm). But vendors don't always provide correct info for their products.

We'll see...There is a guy on a CX-7 forum that bought some of these...but hasn't really said what the drop is....or how it looks...
If cutting them doesn't work out....then I have a few options at least.....I just wish BC would come out with the Coilover kit already....That would solve the problem...
