You're going to have to show me how you tucked some of that chassis harness sometime. I need to it ASAP on my FD now that the motors out, might as well clean it up.

What exactly did you tuck? I had a hard time finding the difference between the pics? lol I'd love to tuck my engine bay too, but I did about as much as I could stomach while I had the engine out. I just hate wiring haha.

^From what I've heard you don't need to cut and splice much of the factory chassis harness at all, just untangle it and cut some tape and you have enough slack to tuck it in most places.

If I had the balls (and the time) I would relocate my battery fuse block and engine fuse block to the rear hatch (where the battery is going). I might do the battery-mounted fuse block but the main fuse block would be a PITA. Look hella clean, though.

I never knew you responded to this haha. Well maybe I'll look at doing this sometime then. I'd love to relocate my fuse and relay blocks too, but I haven't for the same reason haha. I'm just afraid of messing something up and never being able to figure out the wiring problem. I hate wiring problems. I REALLY want to run my IC piping through there though. If someone has a write-up on it I might try it.

Thanks!

Actually getting ready to do some work to it. I'll probably pull the motor this weekend. I want to repaint the engine bay, clean up the motor, and do some other cosmetic stuff this winter.

Also have plans for putting on my shine sideskirts and rear fender flares.

What kind of modifications did you have to do to get the GM transmission in there? Does the Hinson kit account for it?

It does. The kit will allow you to bolt it up using factory locations. Some massaging to the tranny tunnel may be necessary. Nothing major.

So you used the Hinson kit...and the engine fit without hood modification? Did you get their bump steer correction kit too? The Granny's kit claims it uses stock mounting points, and it doesn't lower the engine mounts, so you don't need bump steer correctors...but it also says the engine will not clear the stock hood, which is lame. My car is pretty low so I think I need bump steer correctors anyway as it is haha. Also, I've been thinking about doing this swap for a while now but I think riding in an LS powered FD would be the decision point for me. Do you ever come up to Denver? I'd love to check your car out.

Like the looks of your block. Would love to paint mine (MZ3). but really don't want to pull the engine just to paint.

It's really nice to see people do good work.
