Yea, shes not in the best shape right now! i am working hard and spending lost of money to get her looking and running her best again! The guy i bought her from really tore her up! I have been looking for one of these in running condition for 3 years now, found this one with a blown turbo, bad head gasket, and hideous paint! She is certainly a work in progress! I have time, money and know-how to make her top notch doom bringer though...

And to the guy who asked me how many exist, a little over 1,200 were brought to the states in turbo 4wd, of a total of 4,300 or so built. they were only built in 88 and 89 here, but mazda had these all the way to 1994, and the 1990 to 1994 version had a 1.8l turbo producing more power and torque! mine have the bullet proof 1.6l b6t motor!

Cool car. Mead is a nice town but very small, I've been there a few times.

ian what are you talking about, these look nothing like hachis

Anyway, welcome! There's a member on here from Austria who drives one of these in rally cross...323bf. Did you get this car from Craigslist by chance? I think I remember seeing it and was really considering buying it as a rally project.

Ha ha! Yes mead is a very small town, and that's why I love it! I'm somewhere between half an hour and an hour from anything and everything good! Yes I did buy the car on craigslist, it was green and located in fountain! I paid 500 for her! Seriously stole it, except that I'm 2,000 deep in less than a month and a half! The turbo going in is a vj-5/vj-14 hybrid, it will run more boost, though it won't spool quite as fast as the stock vj-14… I am getting ready to paint the whole car black, it is the stock color! Next time your comming to mead, drop me a pm, ill buy you a drink and let you poke around the car!

Nice! i love these cars, i was actually looking at buying one about 4-5 years back. I'm glad if found an owner that will fix it up instead of destroying it!
