Do they understand that they very well may be opening a can of worms, especially from the Mazdaspeed drivers?
Q: Can you explain the large number of DISI 2.3L Turbo motors that have tossed rods through the block while accelerating under 3000 rpm in 5th or 6th gear?
Q: Why is it that the DISI 2.3L Turbo handles mods so much more poorly than the competition from Mitsu and Subie?
Q: If there's no known problem with the DISI 2.3L turbo, why did Mazda change the rods, PCV, and tuning solutions on the 2010 MS3?
Q: Why in the HELL did Mazda make the Gen 2 MS3 uglier than Ben Stein naked?

LOL those are questions you should probably ask the Mazda engineers, not sales or techs. They didn't design the stuff.
You guys should really NEVER own rotaries LOL

You know that, and I know that, but SOMEONE is bound to ask...

I am taking advantage of the opportunites and offers presented to the Club.
This is a certified Mazda Service Center so there will be limits (performance modification and early model cars) to the information they can offer us and yes they will on occasion provide the corporate answer to some question.
So keep this in mind with this Tech Day.
That Said: If there is more interest in Tech Days we can try and schedule a Tech Day with a Performance Shop to get answers which can't be answered above.

Interesting you brought up MOL. I have a part that needs replacing on my 3. Courtesy quoted me about $200.00 for the part and SEVEN hours labor. I called MOL as they are open on Saturdays. The part was about the same price but the labor was ONE hour... !!!

Any chance you would be willing to share what part you're replacing?

Stay Tuned
You're not going to find a shop in Colorado, New Mexico, Nebraska, Utah, or any other surrounding State that knows a rotor from their ***

Part of the dash. The Part # is on here somewhere as I mentioned it on a thread a while back. Have not changed it yet as there is a lot of other stuff to spend $$ on but probably will eventually because I have to look at it every day.
I had the part number etc. when I requested the quote. I just found it interesting that the quotes were about five to six hundred dollars different....
