I talked to Ray's counterpart on Friday and he's going to mail the bearings tomorrow. I found a pair of calipers on eBay for $100 and it turns out I've talked to the seller on facebook before about buying a subframe last year. He was the one that quoted me $400 for shipping. I asked him on Friday if he had any more pics of the calipers or could test the ebrake actuator at least. He said he'd get to it this weekend, so I assumed they were at a shop or something. I asked him around noon if he'd taken a look and he said he'd look when he got home in a couple hours. So I asked a few hours later and he said he hadn't gotten to it yet and would PM me when he had. Yeaaaahhhhh, I'm done with that BS. I guess he doesn't really want to sell them. So I bought a pair of new ones from Rock Auto. Then my buddy in Cali messaged me back and said he had some spares, I totally forgot I had asked him haha.
I've been looking at doing some LED lights for headlights. I've been trying to do sleek lights like the old RE Amemiya lights for years but wanted to use LEDs so I didn't have to cut the stock metal to mount them since they're smaller. After seeing this video on this floodlight/flashlight this guy made, it gave me some ideas.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vgNh3fLxJc He's using eight 100w LED chips, and they're about 9000 lumens a piece, and headlights are usually about 700 lumens. So that's WAY too much haha. I figured 60w may be enough, and probably still too much haha. Plus I need some help putting everything together, between the LED chips, heat sinks, resistors, reflectors, and whatever else. So I guess I'll be calling Bogdan about that too haha. I'm thinking about doing some 30w for the low beams and higher for high beams. We'll see how all this plays out.
