Since the track day was cancelled for weather, I woke up early and got started with fitting the race bucket. When I pulled the seat, I discovered that my car was one of those fitted with a secondary alarm from Honda that also controls the keyless doors and trunk opening. Since the harness is too small to relocate the box, I spent about an hour disconnecting the harness from the body harness, and reconnecting the body harness. To do so, I removed almost every piece of plastic from the driver's side. I only broke one push pin style fastener, which I forgot to pick up at the parts store.
Then DW came down to help fit the seat. I had it in a couple times and it was okay, but knew it could be better. I ended up cutting one slot from the top of each side mount to get the seat lower, and DW, got everything aligned. We put it back in the car with the factory seat belt connected and discovered it would be a no go. DW did an internet search and found the corvette guys were just anchoring a seatbelt extender to the rail. I ended up ordering a seatbelt extender (shipped this morning). Then I found this link:

Since we couldn't fit the seat and retain any sort of restraint system, we moved on to installing the NRG Short Hub, NRG 3.0 QR and speedjunkie's momo wheel. DW, pulled the steering wheel and took a look at the hub and noticed a problem right away. The back was solid and wouldn't fit with the S2000's SRS reel. More googling revealed that people were just removing the SRS reel and losing their horn buttons and cruise control. The loss of a horn button was a no go for me. Upon further look at the NRG sight, I saw they have a S2000 compatible hub with resistors and a cut out to retain the horn and eliminate the airbag light. So for anyone looking to do this on an S2000, I'd suggest part number 131 as opposed to 130. I will verify once it comes in this week and I can get it installed.
So, after all of that, the car came out basically the same without the additional factory alarm and the loss of keyless entry. I had to order new fobs...which I hope will be in this week too.
