I'm not showing, but I want to meet everyone I didn't meet at the MOL Showcase and say hello to those I did, see the cars, donate some vittles and help out for a couple hours.

Sounds good Graham! We will see ya at 9 at Shell! Thanks for coming out to support the club :)

Well, initial tests are NEGATIVE for the flu, but can be as much as 60% inaccurate, so they are doing a culture test. Plain and simple -- if he's negative, I will still try to be at the GTG, though probably later in the morning. If he's positive for either flu, I will stay FAR AWAY from all you folks who don't want it. :)

Well, as of right now, my son's temp is back up to 103, folks, which means tomorrow he's going back to the E.R. So I'm afraid I won't be there, yet AGAIN. This is my life -- one BS drama thing after another, but this one's important. We're convinced that despite the negative results of the quick-test for Flu A, that's what he has. Exact symptoms of a little girl we know who had it, and false negatives are high with those quick tests. And since the only Flu A that's out right now is H1N1 (Swine Flu), I'm convinced that's what he has. Culture test (more accurate) should be done tomorrow, too.

So have fun tomorrow and know that I'd be there if I could. My place right now is here.

kind of sounds like what i just got over.
i had all flu-like symptoms but all tests show negative.
turns out i had a throat infection that was causing a fever and stuff.
if he's been on any sort of anti-biotics the throat culture would have shown as a negative.
does his throat hurt a lot?
see any oddities in the back of his throat.
hope any of the info from my recent illness helps.

on the plus side i will be going.
but not until like 12.

Well, he broke the fever this morning and it has stayed down ever since. VERY big relief to see him recovering. Now...if the rest of us can keep from getting this....

I felt the need to drive a bit after the bash to relax and decompress from all the work and stress that went into the day, so my pictures are below. This is a drive up Mt. Evans. I wasn't going too far because I was concerned about deer, especially at the time I was up there. Colors are already changing, and I highly recommend this drive, it's breathtaking.

And thank you for those of you who came out and made this day so much fun! We really appreciated you being there and being as patient with us as possible. We learned a lot from this Bash and we hope next year is even better! Next big event is a track day, so keep on the look out for that thread coming up in a few weeks.

CONGRATS to Eric for winning Best Import, Troy for winning Best in Class (Speed3s), Talbot for winning Best in Class (Speed6s)!!! Mike B for winning Best in Class (RX-7s), and the Yellow SpeedProtege for winning Best in Class (Proteges). Our club did a great job representing! We were able to hand off $100 in cash to The Denver Rescue Mission Center as well as a ton of canned food! Thank you for supporting our club and the wonderful cause for the homeless!
