There was an older GT500 running 13.0, but it's possible he was having traction issues or was new to the track. There were a couple older GTs running in the high 13s, and a 2006 GT that had a full 2011 5.0 swap, engine, interior, everything, plus a Paxton centrifugal supercharger that was running high 11s, but he was letting off at the end since he doesn't have a roll bar. I was the only 2011+ 5.0 there I think.
Only a couple boosted cars. There was a 240 that seemed like it was his first time at the track. He was having trouble launching but was trapping close to 120. There was an older Mirage (FWD) on slicks that was running high 11s, and there was a last-gen MR2 that was running mid 12s. Everything else was muscle. F-Bodies, Mustangs, GTOs, Challengers, Vettes, and a lot of bikes.
One guy with a brand new Grand Sport Vette with an Edelbrock supercharger, big subs in the back, and lambo doors came up to me saying he wanted to run me "cause I ain't got to run one of them new 5.0s yet." I said what are you running? He said eh, 11.2. But it was obvious he didn't know much about his car, he just had money and had paid people to do the work. He seemed a little slow in the head so I'm wondering if he inherited the money or something, lol. Either way I declined to run him, not that I really had a choice as by then there were a lot more people there.
There was a 2000ish LS1 Camaro that said he only had heads and a cam that was running 12.1 every time. It was an auto though with much fatter tires than me so it would be much easier to be consistent. One GTO was running pretty consistently 12.4 with the same trap speed as me. Also with better meat on the back.
So I think the theme here is I really need some man tires if I'm going to improve my times, heh. And some more practice. About to head out soon to get some more of that right now.
