It was great seeing everyone and checking out some cool cars. I really enjoyed the short cruise from Denver out to MOL. I got down to the Rescue Mission and dropped the food off after we had dinner at Hops. Then there was (get this) an informal classic car meet at East High about two blocks from my house. I saw a Ford GT up close and just stood there and stared at it. Good Times.

Thank you Graham!! There wasn't any trouble dropping the food off was there?

There is a Ford GT at Colorado Auto Club that I love to stare at whenever I visit.

It was fun hanging out with you - you should come around more often!

Well, it was my first time dropping off food at the Rescue Mission and I didn't get the message that the donation door was around the corner on Larimer/Lawrence from the main door on Park Ave. I drove by the main door and there was no way I was stopping there. Hundreds of people had already started lining up for dinner and I wasn't gonna put myself in the middle of that mess with several thousand dollars worth of stuff in my car and looking like I just finished a round of golf at the country club. I'm a country boy, but I've been living in the city long enough to know what is a good move and what isn't.

I called my friend Scott who has volunteered there and lives close by. He set me straight and I asked if he wouldn't mind tagging along. I went home, unloaded all my airplane and car stuff, so Scott could get in the front seat. The Speed was carrying more cargo than it ever has before with all the food, my backpacks, heavy weather gear (I go to high altitude often), three slope planes, my car care box and tools. We headed down there, found the donation door around the corner, rang the bell, dealt with a few looky loos, found a guy who looked official and two other people came out to help carry the food in.

Went totally smooth. I told the official looking guy that it was from the Colorado Mazda Club, he asked if I wanted a receipt, but I said no. Hope that's OK and doesn't mess up the finances or anything.

I'd estimate it was about 200+ pounds of food, cuz all the boxes were heavy and we had to get creative to fit them all in the hatch. It was a good test since I'm a bit concerned about heavy loads and the 225/45/18 tires. The back was visibly lower, but no audible rubs on the highway or around town.

I'm telling all the women I meet that I'm a Good Samaritan for at least a week or two. Maybe that will cause some audible rubbing. Ha!

Glad I could help out,

Graham

Wifey2Speed3lvr, "even cleaner"!?! You two had The Cleanest Speed3 i honestly have ever seen. I'm sure you mean in terms of mods, but WOW! The literal cleanness of your Speed was incredible! Literally the cleanest Speed3 and possible one of the cleanest cars i have ever seen!!! Keep up the excellent work!

The neighbor girl would be proud. She loves how clean my "engine" is.

Plans: Paint Calipers, Lightly tint headlights, get rid of side moldings, and do some other tinting.
