Mt Evans Drive?
Hi Everyone, thought that we could set up a drive to Mount Evans~ I drove up part of it the other day and its a simple drive that lasts quite a while. As far as a time line goes probably in the next month would be good, like perhaps the first weekend of September?? Probably be an all day thing with lunch and dinner. This is definetely a scenic drive so cameras are a necessity! Sign up if you wanna go!
Roadrnr06 was my leased 2006 Speed 6 which was purchased on 06-06-06. I have many fond memories of that car, and will be keeping my original profile as a memory of the great car that I once had.
My new user name is Roadrnr09 and showcases my new 09 Subaru WRX which I am very happy to have purchased as a replacement vehicle : )

I was up there last summer and warned of the damage to the road. You'd have to plan ahead when driving through it with anything lowered or just low (RX-8). Scraping, getting stuck or high centering could be a real issue. The road isn't just pot holed and missing pieces- the road is heaved up forming big mounds and ruts. It was pretty hairy driving through with my SUV.
I might be up for this. I took the family up to summit lake the other day.
Crystal, how far up did you go? There was some pretty severe damage to the road up by summit lake. I am glad we were in the Jeep. Not sure if some of the lowered mazdas would make it over the dips and bumps.

Exactly...I'm not sure that half of our cars would make it past Summit lake.
