I know ...that shits crazy, its definitely on my near future purchase list...[/b]
Don't get your hopes up too much though... his AFR's will tell the tale. When I first strapped my Speed6 to a dyno, when I had a DTEC FCBC, I put down more power to begin with than I did with my final tune, with just the ability to hold more boost in the upper RPMs. My AFR's were too lean around the 3500rpm mark, where I was out of fuel (would have been nice if they had an upgraded pump at the time lol)... I ended up having to turn the boost down a bit to get my AFR's safe at that RPM, as I was seeing a couple counts of knock half the time at that RPM under WOT.
There might be more power to be found with a custom tune, but the custom tune will mostly just be better for making sure the car is running a safe, smooth, drivable time. Although just leaning out AFR's in the upper RPMs will make a TON of power, but that's after peak power would have already tapered off, due to the turbo not holding full boost up top.
We'll see though.... that's why I want to see his AFR graphs, as then we'll be able to get a better idea of how much power is still on the table. Still, HUGE gains! Very nice to see another Speed6 making big power! Although, Rich's car was always a little low on power for a Speed6 IIRC, which I always assumed was because his ECU had a very conservative tune, so it's not really a surprise to me to see his car have HUGE gains with a more aggressive tune. My Speed6 didn't see gains that were that large with tuning, but then again, my Speed6 was also a non-flashed "factory freak", that put down around an extra 30whp (on MAC's dyno) over other stock Speed6's, or Speed6's with same mods (CAI & BPV/BOV). My Speed6 was making 257whp with just a CAI & BPV on MAC's dyno, whereas most other Speed6's on the dyno that were stock or CAI/BOV only put down 220-230whp. So no surprise, my car just had an aggressive tune from the factory (I never let Mazda reflash it lol), so I only made about an extra 24whp or so with a tune, since my car was already pushing more boost stock with leaner/cleaner AFR's than most Speed6's, so really, my car just didn't have as much room for gains.
Rich's car had a TON of room for gains, which is obvious lol. I would still like to see his AFR's though...

Right around peak torque. I'm very familiar with "the spike" lol.
