some of them are also available via netflix FYI.

You can also watch clips at the bbcamerica website. Or if you have access to a Europe Proxy/VPN, you can watch full episodes from the UK site

I prefer binsearch.info. It's for Usenet and you have to pay a monthly fee to a provider (I prefer Astraweb, $11/mo), but you don't have to worry about having other people seeding for you or sharing anything off of your own computer. Plus you will always max out your connection speed on every download.

Streetfire.net has pretty much all the episodes of Top Gear as full-length episode videos. If you google 'top gear season x episode y streetfire' you'll find the unedited BBC eps online. 'top gear episode list wikipedia' helps you look for specific ones, too.

I also noticed iTunes has Top Gear for download in Hi Deff the other day. So you can buy an entire season, then rip it to DVD if you a DVD burner on your PC. Not a bad deal, and usually cheaper than at a store.

How safe are sites like these? Can you get viruses from them?

I would assume that you could eventhough you pay. I know you can off limewire as well as piratebay.org. If you have a good anti-virus though it will catch it before you run the program/file. I use AVG (their free version) and have never gotten a virus but it has saved me several times.

The nice thing about piratebay is that people leave comments on the download and will usually speak up if there is a virus.

I also run AVG free and malwarebytes free.
