My New Toy
Looking good! Except for the Optima, I would have thought I was looking at a brochure from the 80's!

Yes, I think that is what I meant. I'll have to ask the wife to make sure.

I sold a few more parts so I have about $95 to spend. I have a few choices. my existing battery cables are good but they are original to the car.
1. buy new battery cables and fusible links. about $95 shipped
2. buy interior bits and pieces to basically get the interior done except for the seat repair. about $95 shipped
3. buy rear hatch struts so I don't have to use a stick anymore to hold up the hatch. about $50 shipped
4. buy paint for some of the parts under the hood from eastwood. about $95 shipped.

I got a few more things don on the car over the weekend. I swapped out the middle and outer shift boots (these are below the shift boot you see). I pulled the passenger door panel and greased the regulator and door locks. I also bought some mothers back to black and used it on the black side trim and mirrors.
I still need to get an inner shift boot that mounts to the tranny itself because it is completelly shot.

Today I'm going to work on the idle surging problem and see if I can figure it out.
Here is a great article: http://www.nellump.net/peri/epi/firstGenTechs/gslseIdle.html

I fixed the power antenna finally. I just needed to rewire it correctly.
I also ordered the rear hatch struts and new front speakers.
