last night I went up to lookout with a few friends. On the way up I was mostly in 2nd gear staying between 4k and 7k. I would shift up or down when the rpm was too high or too low. It ran great till we got to the top when I had it in nuetral it died. I started it back up but it would die when I wasn't giving it gas. I made it back down but it would die when I wasn't paying attention. I thought it was because of the alltitude change but when I got home it still wasn't idleing on it's own. But it looked like it was trying. It would die slower and almost stay at 900rpm.
what should I try first and also if anyone wants to help me I'll buy food and give you money for beer or I'll but drinks. It's up to you. I'm in aurora. It would help if you came to me cause I'm not sure about driving it far.
doesn't want to idle, still has power (89 n/a fc)

I tried earlier and it still does. It's cool by now since I got home around 1am.

k&n drop in filter (stock air box)
street ported engine
2k miles since I've had the engine
power steering and a/c deleted
aftermarked oil pressure gauge
those are the engine related mods
also, this happened once before. I was able to fix it unpluging the battery and reseting the tps. I'm going to do that right now. Hope it works. But before it would only lose idle once it reached operating tempeture. Now it does it when cold and hot.

I thought I had posted a reply but I guess I forgot to hit reply. Well I tried some of the things Ian suggested and it worked
. I was getting worried it might be something big and expensive. Well thanks. Car runs great again.

That they do. Still not sure why it was being bitchy cause I had just taken her out on a nice cruise up and down lookout mountain. It probably didn't like the "up" part
And I'll just leave these pictures here since it's not thread worthy just post worthy. finally got my intake setup how I wanted it. Still needs a little trimming to fit better. And I'll clean it as soon as I have time. The area that was covered by the intake box is too dirty and makes the rest look just as dirty.

I completely disagree, The air filter adds 50+hp and has improved my mpg. The butt dyno feels like it added 100hp and it has way more torque. I'm having traction problems now.
Honestly it's more for looks. I'm going to get a e-fan and relocate my battery too. If I didn't need emissions I would strip the engine of all emissions and run a carb.

thanks, and its "custom" I just cut a piece of intercooler pipe that was in a 90 degree shape. I cut a hole just big enough for the pipe to fit in. the metal there is paper thin and I just used sheet metal scissors.
Here is the cleaned up version and better fitment. The intake now sits more tucked in and is getting more "ram" air. The only actual difference between stock airbox using k&n drop in filter and my new setup is that it's not as restrictive at higher rpm. slightly less but less indeed. Also my friend mention that it is longer than before. this is false. the stock air box has a long route just to get to the filter. and it has about a 1" gap to suck in air between the radiator support and hood. I think this has been a very good mod. for being n/a of course.
