My 8 just went dead on the way home. Not a battery issue, the lights and windows worked fine and I have half a tank of gas.
It wont crank or anything. Its a 05 with a 6 speed

So when you turn the ignition key, what happens? Nothing? Is there an audible clicking noise? Does it crank but not fire?
If you turn the key and NOTHING happens (no noises, no cranking, nothing) then you almost certainly have a blown fuse. If you still have power to everything else it's doubtful your alternator is blown (they rarely do on 8's anyways).
If you turn the key and hear a loud clicking noise, your starter or the starter solenoid could be toast (or battery dead).
If you turn the key and it cranks the engine over but isn't firing, you could have a blown fuse, or a slue of other issues. Most common would be your engine is flooded. If so you can try the de-flooding procedure by holding the accelerator pedal to the floor while cranking the car for 5-7 seconds. Release the accelerator pedal and stop cranking, then attempt cranking again without touching the accelerator pedal.
If that doesn't work, you can pull the fuel pump fuse and crank the motor for a good 10 seconds, put the fuel pump fuse back in and crank it again. It will take a few cranks for the pump to rebuild fuel pressure but it should fire up.
Let me know any more details.

Also to add to this, in this scenario it may be the ignition switch itself. Though it's also rare for something like that to just randomly fail.

Was it you that had called me the other night? It was a (719) number. Didn't see it till later but didn't bother to call back cause I didn't know it. I had reflashed the software on my phone and forgot to save it to the SIM card so the number I had for you got wiped off the phone.
TXT me so I have your number again.
