Rear Windshield Wiper on a Hatchback

Postby bellalyssa » Sun Dec 13, 2009 9:14

Is this a part I need to order from Mazda? I tried to buy a new one yesterday but it didn't fit...

Any ideas?

Go to a Ford dealer and ask them for a rear wiper blade for a first gen Focus hatch. That's what I did for my prev 3 hatch. Exact same size and worked great!

Ford parts are generally a little more than the Mazda equivalent. Not sure about that particular part though. But it is a dealer only part. Won't find it at the parts store.

I was so disappointed with my rear wiper that I just took it out completely and plugged the hole up. Now I just put a coat of rain-x on every other week and wash the back window when I go to the gas station.

I never thought about that... hm... I'll see if it meets with stock class rules and that may be an option.

I could never get rid of my rear wiper. I just bought a standard refill (not the full blade) at Autozone that was about 24" long and cut it to the same size as the stock wiper and it's been working great. Plus I had enough leftover for another refill once this one wears out.

How much did the rear refill cost?
