On the subject of Italian- Anyone had Luigi's [Bent Noodle]?

may want to try it again. I ordered a basic chicken meal. the desserts are good, my son got the pizza which was tasty. up to you dude. We had a shitty waiter the 2nd time we were there which hindered the experience.

So, I just got back from the Cricket. Let me start by telling you, we purposely went down there early (right before 6pm) and we still had a 45min wait:o This didn't trouble me much, as I'd rather wait...knowing there was good food to be had. Played a game of pool and enjoyed a cold beverage.

I had a 1/2lb. burger with avocado, mushrooms, and green chile slices. When the burger first came out, the bottom half of the bun was sopping with grease, and not holding together too well. Like a man though, I just flipped that sucker upside down and went to town. The burger itself was pretty bland (but not bad). However-- the availability/selection of toppings and the perfectly cooked (I ordered medium well [pink in the middle]) patty made up for it. Everyone else's burgers came out perfectly cooked as well. In addition to the burgers, the fries were great- as were the onion rings. I'm not an onion ring kind of guy. But these...these, were rather delightful.

Yeah, there may be better burger joints out there. But the ambionce, area of town, notariaty, toppings, quality, and environment all make the Cricket a nice place to go back to.

Note: I just consumed a crap-ton of grease. I don't plan on going back anytime soon, but do plan on going back:5f09912f:

nice review tut, mine has been postponed a week due to technical difficulties.
I did have a kick *** burger from CB Potts 3-4 years ago. It was so delicious, i've been afraid to go back and try it again as I might be let down.

Well... I had Grilled Atlantic Salmon with steamed Veggies and rice at the Downtown Aquarium restaurant. I took my daughter there to look at fishies.
Oh and Calamari...

It was OK. I'd rather have my turkey meatballs (low fat) with marinara sauce and spinach and a bit of brown rice. mmmmm... (my lunch)

This place is right off Main Street. I had actually walked by this place last time I was up, but never tried it. First off, their beers really weren't that good. I had their wheat one, and the wife had their raspberry wheat (special). Both were kind of bland...like an amateur was brewing them- sigh.

It looked like their Salmon and Chips was the big seller, but we opted for a burger and the "lettuce wraps".

The burger: I ordered it medium well. It came out pretty gray and dry. Not much flavor to it. The fries however were very good, and they gave you quite a bit of them. (Regardless, I consumed the whole thing and enjoyed it -- as I haven't had a burger since going to the Cricket).

The lettuce wrap: I put quotations around this earlier because it wasn't much of a lettuce wrap. More like a few pieces of Romaine and some dry chicken cubes. There really was no Asian flare to it at all. They provided two sauces (peanut and a teriyaki-type)... both of which were absolutely disgusting.

Oddly enough, even though the food left a lot to be desired, we had a great time.

Afterwards, we walked down the street to the Gelato place (and ordered ice cream)...which also was pretty bad. Now I know why Chris opts for dining in:lol:

This is why you ask me before you go. I've been there a number of times not my favorite place. I gave you a list of good places and you go to a place like the rockslide.
