Actually, another Neon, which got totaled again (3 cars now written off for those keeping score), but it wasn't his fault. He was hit by a drunk driver running a stop sign, luckily he didn't sustain any major injuries and walked with a fat settlement from the drunk's insurance.
He now drives an '02 Toyota Camry my dad gave him, presumably out of pity.

It's too bad that in terms of row-your-own, Ford's apparently only offering a 5-MT on the 2012 Focus SE. I guess this is about as close as they come to a base Mazda3 s Sport. (see attached).
I'll be curious to see some road/track reviews of the 2012 Focus 5-MT with 'Sports handling' package and 17" alloy options, I guess.
