OK Smart, Resourceful People...

...I have a dilemma for all you creatively smart folks.

My daughter is moving to Seattle Wednesday, and dropped off a bunch of her stuff for us to keep. This includes several paintings that I would like to A) display on our walls, and B) sell to help her get by.

The problem: she's a smoker and they smell like smoke. BAD.

Anyone have any idea how to get rid of the smell of smoke from paintings?

I'd try letting them air out for a good week somewhere with constant fresh air like a garage or covered patio...

Also, to clean oil paintings: buy some cheap white-wonder-bread, crumble up the bread and dab/lightly-rub it over the painting. I've done it plenty of times and it's a recommended safe non-abrasive way to clean the surface and remove dust...

Spray them diluted vodka (Mythbusters did a test on this and it worked). Not sure how it will work on paintings, tho

I'd imagine vodka would do bad things to paint.
