There are no toll booths on C-470 west of I-25 until it ends up near I-70. E-470 is a toll road east of I-25. They are connected at I-25, but C-470 is maintained by CDOT while E-470 has a separate group (E-470 highway authority).
I'm hoping to get as many people to go on this cruise as possible, which was why I was hoping to keep the meeting place at a decent location for as many people as possible. It's about equal distance coming from Fort Carson in the Springs as it is from Loveland to I-25 and C-470 (~60 miles), and it's a big enough place that we can get everyone there and onto the highway without much trouble.

Toll Road? E-470 is a toll only. W470 (west of I-25) is free and clear.
But I hear ya. I think we should all maybe meet at the Green Mountain Sonic. That way people from Denver and the North aren't back tracking much.
The CO Springs folk will be taking C-470 up that way anyways so I don't want to hear them complaining that the meeting spot is now farther. It really isn't because you will be heading that way anyway.
For the people North they can take I-25 then swing onto I-76 West to 70 then that will swing them towards the Sonic.
Get to the Sonic from the springs
Get to the Sonic from Ft. Collins (The map suggests going to 6th Ave. instead of I76/I70)
From Sonic to the proposed route.

There are no toll booths even near I-70 on W470. And you have to keep in mind that the Ft. Collins/Loveland group still has to drive to the meeting spot then All The Way Back home. So they are traveling a much greater distance than the Springs and Denver guys.
Hmm...
New proposal: There's a Home Depot right near C-470 and 285. I would say that quite honestly would make the most sense. I didn't really think to check near there before. That way nobody is backtracking any further than they have to before we head out on our way, and we start right where we need to be.

I don't hang out in Denver much so I don't know what's a toll or not, but that's not my point. I think carvaning on the highway is rather pointless, especially since I will already be cruising for 60+ miles to get there...
But while the meeting spot may be equal distance for Springs and NorCo folks, we are ending the cruise in the Springs, so I have to drive 130+ miles home after I drive for 2+ hours...so yeah.

That sounds better...

That Home Depot will work. It's not to far from the Sonic I proposed.

For now, with the new route, we are meeting at the Home Depot listed in the first post. If anyone from the Springs wants to meet up at the great indoors that was the old meeting spot and head down C-470 to the new one, let me know! We should probably head out from there if we meet up about 30 to 45 minutes before the meeting time to get there on time and be there with a bit of time to spare. Let me know!

I'd also like to add at this point, we finalize the current meeting place, route, and final destination. I think we've got it worked out pretty well right now, and it's just going to be confusing to make any more changes. Any objections?
