Ok I completely forgot that I am staying at the Stanley Hotel that weekend for a wedding.
So i won't make the May Cruise
Sorry guys
May Cruise
Alright. I think closer to 3 sounds good. That way we can be done by about 6:30 leaving people plenty of time to hang around for a Starbucks meet if they want or to head back home if they live far away.

I don't know if I'm in the right thread right now lol but anyway I'm using street view on google maps to plan our stops I have actually found that this road is really nice I think it will be fun and there is some really nice places for pictures including a bridge over the river that runs along the road. and a small road like in Mexico or Italy =) I'll post more details in a bit.
edit:look what I found
I would be sooooo happy if I could drive this historic car

Ok I have gone through the entire mountain cruise part and have narrowed worthy stopping locations that have enough room for maybe 20 cars and would make for some great pictures. please check out the link and let me know which ones we should stop at. Of course we can't stop at all of them so maybe top 4 spots?
Link to google maps for possible stops. (view in street mode please)
also there is two sections of the route that may be gravel, (google maps updates about once a year so not sure if still unpaved, so would anyone have a problem with driving slowly through this places (30mph) or less.
another thing I would like to get more organized and have maybe 3 leaders. 1 in front and one in the back and one in the middle. this is in case we get separated so everyone behind them knows who to fallow that knows where they are going.

I was thinking we will definitely need walkie talkies for the next cruise. Three minimum, one for the leader in front, one for someone in about the middle (who should know the route well too), and one for the person in back to make sure we all stick together.

They're like 20.00$ for two... or something. Unless someone has extras.
Also, I like that idea Alex. When I'm not tired, I'll have to look at it to see the routes, I think that's a good idea though.
Also, we *really* need to try to line up better this time
Get everyone in the shot!

I've been meaning to get walkie talkies for a couple years now haha. I'll pick some up before this cruise.
Just an idea though. When we went on cruises in N Carolina the guy that kinda led the group would go out and paint a circle with an indication of direction at the intersections so we'd know where to go, even if we wanted to go out and do them on our own. I can't remember how he did it exactly but it was kinda like our own little code. Not difficult to break haha, but helpful none-the-less. Just a thought.

I'm looking for walkie talkies now. I found a pair for 25$ but it's only online.ill try best buy target and micro center next. I'm not spending more than 25$ so I may show up with power rangers walkie talkies
