Yeah, you're probably right. We got the M with about 10 on the cruise earlier this year after the tech day was canceled.

Then your're crazy. With all do respect of course. But, they work and have saved me a lot of money. And contrary to popular belief, it doesn't make me speed, just protects me in times I happen to be going a bit to fast. I normally drive the speed limit, but it's nice to have when i don't. They really work, if of course you get the right one, not some $30 one.

$40 more you could have bought a Whistler XTR-690se. I'll be bringing that with me, absolutely love it. But you buy what you can afford, I do understand that part. Otherwise I'd have a Valentine!

There are two types of radar detectors; ones that tell you a cop is ahead and to slow down (expensive Escorts, Bells, and V1's), and then ones that tell you you're getting a ticket (Cheap Cobras).

Having owned plenty of detectors, from a $20 Cobra to a $500 Escort. If you spend under $100 on a radar detector you're just getting a device that tells you you're getting a ticket, because the range and resolution sucks. I really believe in the higher end Escorts (9500XI), because they have saved me from tickets multiple times.

^This is 100000000000% true! I have had two different detectors in my years of driving. First bought an Escort 8500; loved it. Then a few years ago sold that to Jimmy and bought a V1 and LOVE it even more.

Some might say that $500 for a radar detector is too much, but i say bah to them. Can't even tell you how many times the V1 has picked up cops that were out of sight from so far away. Not to mention that i can track multiple "threats". That in itself is worth it.

Moral of the story = don't buy a cheap one.

I would buy a nice expensive one if I had the money, but I don't :p I bought what I could reasonably afford, and it'll have to make due until I can afford a better one.

Why not wait till you can afford a good one and drive within a reasonable amount of the speed limit? Otherwise, like mentioned, you've spent 80 bucks to be told you're getting a ticket. Just my .02 though.

Understandable. When you can afford to spend more, i do suggest a V1. Expensive but very worth it.

Annd, I *really* would love to see the letters of CMZC, I mean, we already have the M, we can DEFINITELY with no probs get the CZC!

Really? Christi I tried discussing this earlier lol. I'll find the spots where I wanted to stop for pics. How many stops are we planning on making? Is 3 ok?

Oh. You did? Haha, I missed it! Well, if all else fails, we can probably find a huge parking lot to do the photos. Might be easier, since we have like 23 people coming.
