I just finished installing the rear hatch struts. They work great and look clost to factory.

I drove the car to Golden and Denver on Saturday. The car did fine but I did loose the speedometer cable on the way back. I replaced the cable today with the one off the other car so all is good.

Also on Friday, I swapped out the tranny mount and drive shaft.

Since I've replaced the tranny mount and I still have a little movement of the shifter from side to side, I'm thinking I must have a cracked motor mount. Next on my list of parts to buy is new motor mounts. I'm also going to see about getting the interior parts I've been meaning to at the same time.

Well once you get a car as old as this, it turns from simple mofication to full on restoration haha. Hell MY car is already to this point.

I'm hoping to get most of the rest of the parts I've been wanting in the next week. I plan to get my interior basically finished. The only thing I'll be waiting on is the seat repair which will cost $150 to fix.

I will also be ordering new motor mounts, lower shifter boot, and fan belts. I'll be waiting on the battery cables and fusible links.

Beyond that I have the steering components and the high flow cat. I should be able to get all the little bits and pieces with the sale of rest of the little parts. The motor sale will be going to the paint and body.

Once everything listed above is finished, I'll be getting the suspension mods.

I have a ton of parts ordered:
Headliner Rear Clips - 4
Switch Panel Brown (around p/w switches and balancer)
Shifter Cover Panel and Boot Brown
Inside Door Pull Cup Left Brown
Inside Door Pull Cup Right Brown
Door Lock Trim Brown - 2
Brake/Clutch Pedal Pad - 2
Engine Mount Left
Engine Mount Right
Negative Battery Cable
Positive Battery Cable
Fusible Link - Brown - 3
Fusible Link - Black
Fusible Link - Green
Belt - Alternator
Belt - Air Pump
Inner Transmission Boot
Oil Metering Copper 5-Hole
Oil Metering Copper Outer @ Pump to Line - 4
Oil Injector Sealing Washer - 8

I should be getting these in a couple of weeks. This list will keep me busy for quite a while. Total cost $366. I need to spend about $300 more to do the steering and ball joints plus alignment to get this car in tip top shape. Beyond that it's High flow cat and paint and body. Suspension mods will come much later in the future.

Looks like the parts are estimated to ship on the 25th. We shall see though because almost everything is special order.

Shipping (shopping) date is confirmed for the 26th. I was hoping to have everything on Saturday but I'm guessing it will be more like Wednesday.

I'm with Eric on this one. :D

I've been putting a lot of work into my 21 year old Miata in the last couple months, but I think you've got me beat by a long shot! Coming along nicely my friend. :)

I figure since it's my DD and I've hit the age were I like driving in a nice clean car, it's time for me to have a nice fixed up car. I'm tired of driving in an old broke down car. This is car number 6 for me and I've never had a car with a nice fixed up interior interior. Or a car with a nice paint job for that matter. The newest car I've owned is an '87 Taurus Wagon (not including wife's saturn in any of this).
