July 10th Cruise

Postby Learjet45 » Sun May 22, 2011 9:14

Alright. So it's time to get the ball rolling on another cruise!

So here's what I'm thinking for this cruise:

Date
Sunday July 10th, 2011
Hopefully with the 4th of July being the next day, people won't have to worry about work the next day or anything else

Meeting Place
Same as before
Home Depot
4277 S Eldridge Street
Morrison, CO 80465

Departure Time
10-11AM
Start meeting at the Home Depot at around 10AM, leave by 11AM (11:15 at the latest)

Goal
Same as last time, get as many different types of Mazdas on the cruise as possible.

Rules
Rules!
1.During the cruise itself, please don't street race one another. Street racing is gay.
2.Please be somewhat respectful of other drivers on the road. It will look even cooler if we all aren't acting like a-holes to other drivers.
3.Have fun
4.And most importantly, be nice to your fellow friends and club members! Cruises suck when we end up mad at one another.
5. For every 10 cars that sign up as attending, at least 1 person must agree to be a "leader" of a each pack of 10 (and if there is like 25, then there must also be a leader for the last 5) as well as 1 main cruise leader.

letting people run light to light would be possibly a good way to lure people in though

Once we leave, there really aren't many lights at all. Except in Breckenridge. And I'm pretty sure it's a 1 lane road through Breckenridge.

Do you think it might be a bad weekend for cops being out and about for the weekend of the 4th?

There will be so many cops out and people driving fast don't mix well. Add me to the list regardless.

We can always reschedule for another weekend. I just kinda looked at the calendar and made sure the Sunday wasn't actually the 4th. How about the 10th instead?

I should be able to make this:

People Attending
1. Learjet45 (Subaru Legacy)
2. Hschlick84 (Mazda3)
3. Night_Fury_2011 (Speed 3)

This may be a stretch for the Springs crew but take the original route for today's cruise, add Peak to Peak highway and end up in Estes Park. From there you can take 36 back down into Denver. Or make an all day cruise out of it and actually go through RMNP, come out other side and go through Winter Park/Berthoud Pass to I-70 back into Denver. Great drives, awesome scenery, quite a few places to stop and take pics.

I might be able to make it if it's on the 10th, assuming I don't have issues with the car again. The 3rd wouldn't work for me because I might still be on leave.
