I'll probably be coming with Don. What's the cost? (I won't be bringing my own car, only driving someone else's if they let me.) :)

If you're driving any car you have to pay the whole shebang. Half or full depending on what you're doing.

It's looking like I'm going to sit this one out. I'm having a hard time reconciling spending a whole day there, driving more than an hour each way ($), and spending $90 for few laps in a car other than my own.

Rest assured that when my car is up again, I'll be over days like this.

It was a ton of fun. Unfortunately I developed (or made a small one big) a leak in the rear end after the first season and decided to sit the rest out. I was able to ride around in a turbo R32 that was sick and the driver knew how to drive it. I wish I could have got my GoPro to work that season because it was unbelievable. We lapped a supercharged CTS-V and hung with a Z06 for half the season.

In my car I was able to hit about 120 MPH on the backstretch and felt like I got fast and faster every lap. I am not going to lie, it was intense & was nervous going in to it but after experiencing it first hand I will defiantly be back.

My Go Pro video is like 30 minutes long, so if I find some time to shrink it down I will post it up.

It was great to meet all the people out there and part of the reason I appreciate this forum.

Great day. Good to see some old faces and meet new ones. I feel like doing some more HPD and learning about passing and other nuances before I do an open lapping day again. But on the other hand, I liked that it was more casual (no inspection) and a bit more competitive of an atmosphere. Pass me if you can adds a whole new element. I was much closer to other cars than I had been during the NASA event. Which is freaky and exhilarating.

Was really cool to watch mad supercars and racecars do their thing. At one point I was chasing the Murcielago and it felt like real life Top Gear.

It's crazy how the World just kind of switches off when you drive fast on a race track. Everything is wiped away except for the task at hand.

Very thankful that I didn't jack anything up (fingers crossed) when I went off track. Here's a few tubes that Ian took from the badass R32. Watch them on youtube in HD. These little boxes are silly.
