Exterior = Done. MS6 Content Inside

Well, since I was unable to sell my tail lights to someone from the CMZC I figured I better keep my word and show you all what I replaced the stock tails with (CAR-LED tails). While I was at it I re-wired my halo headlights and cleaned up the car.

And lastly... my girlfriend suggested I photoshop our cars to look like Pixar CARS.. so I did lol.

Yay for CAR_LEDs!
P.S. You should black out the Mazda emblems. That would look pretty epic and match the wheels nicely.

Looks good. :) love the Photoshop.

Jon, why on earth are you so obsessed with blacking out emblems? It seriously is like a riced out thing to do, and IMO makes the car ugly.

When done right I disagree completely. Some of us just like a more subdued look.

I fail to see how this is rice.

To each their own I guess.

That looks good. But Jon usually means to debadge as he has been asking everyone who hasn't done so to do it. Imo it's totally rice. Yours doesn't if it'd done that way.

Yep. Blacked out my emblems the first week I bought my car. That and de-badging is not 'rice' in my opinion. To me, 'rice' is unnecessary, over done excess, and those are neither.

So debadged/blacked out emblems is rice? I could say the SAME thing about your fart cannon exhaust and your obsession with backfire. As a matter of fact, the fart cannon exhaust is a lot more rice than black emblems if you ask me.
Look at Paul's Speed3. Does the fact that he removed the Mazdaspeed3 badge and blacked out his emblems make his car a rice-mobile? Not even close. His car is one of the cleanest ones I've seen, and it makes a car stand out without being annoying.

Personally, I actually dislike the regular chrome/silver emblems on his red Speed6, especially with the black wheels with the red stripe. I think blacked out emblems would compliment the wheels nicely and look better than silver ones.

Did you buy the tails new or used?

I have stock exhaust, thanks for playing. I also never knew Paul debadged his car, and the day for the cruise when we went up to boulder I also laughed about it and told him 'meh' too.

But you seem to want everyone t o do everything to their car without realizing what people really want. To me, it's rice. I used to like debadging when I was your age, but now I think different. Backfire is actually a bit part of rotaries, as it's good for them. The reason my car sounded loud was due to a huge exhaust leak. Otherwise it'd sound awesome if it wasn't there with the current set up I have.

I'm done hijjacking. Didn't think my post would make you go all apeshit :)

Let me reclarify:

Racing beat header and straight pipe isn't rice.
If you think it sounds like a fart cannon you're highly retarded.
Why don't you make fun of Jimmy's 8, or lets say, coloskydivers miata or even Mike's 1st gen...they're pretty loud, and something I like out of it, as it brings the "note" of the engine's sound out. Not like the civics or other fart cans you see out on the SB meets. THAT my friend is rice.

If you want to get technical and think you know something, please tell me in person or on another thread, about my car. You're just another kid, who thinks they know *everything*.

I merely stated debadging and blacking out is just silly. Altough, dsm_luck's car looks good as it as done really well, seeing it was the same color, for all aspects of his car's color. However, if Regulator does it, I don't think "coloring" it per se would make it look even "epic" due to being a red color. Just my opinion.

Aftermarket header (part of the exhaust) + aftermarket straight pipe (also part of the exhaust) = non-stock exhaust. Point being, it's sounded like a fart cannon since you modified the exhaust.

Also, I'm by no means forcing or even telling that he needs to black out or debadge. I suggested that I thought he should do it because it would look pretty good on his car and match nicely. IIRC, I've suggested that Henry debadges and Regulator blacks-out. Nobody else that I recall.

And while this might not go perfectly with the situation, the meaning of it is the same in regards to me going "apeshit": You mess with the bull, you get the horns. You said you thought it was rice, I explained why I think it isn't. It's that simple.

And with that, /threadjack.
I still wanna know if you bought them new or used :p I absolutely love CAR_LED tails, but I would never pay close to $400 for them. I know there have been some sets on 6crew recently. Just curious though :) Also, what is your tint %?

And one more thing, do you know if the inner and outer rings both light up when you press the brake on the CAR_LEDs? I know the regular tails don't, but I'm not sure if the CAR_LEDs are that way. If they are like that (both the inner and outer rings don't light up, I think it's just the outer on the regular tails), you should definitely look into the tail light mod to make both light up! I think it's just changing a couple wires around.

Very nice Eric! I llike!

To add to the rice party it could go either way. People think my body kit is rice, I don't. Actual people think any RX-8 is rice modded or not. I don't care as long as I like it. I've been told be many that they didn't like something or other I've done to the car. Oh well. To each his own!

Edit - debadging to me is like some sort of game people play. They don't want you to know what their car really is. Some do it to be posers and look like they are a higher version of something and others do it because they don't want people to know they are the higher version of something. I kept mine and people still ask what it is 7yrs later. I painted the 8 red now so people know it's "special". I like the de-badged/black out look but it all depends on how you do it. When and where you black out/de-badge and what color the car is.

Going off of that, there are some people on 6crew that have posted talking about getting out of tickets because the officer didn't know what car they had and didn't write down the correct information on the ticket :p
