Yeah the stockers are definite no go in the winter. Mine didnt cost nearly as much as you paid. I paid 744 otd (shipped and mounted). The reason i didnt pay as much is Discount Tire matched the price of a set of Pirelli 240 wintersports that i orginaly wanted but they couldnt for some reason get in. According to the guy the Yokohama W drives are actually a better winter tire.
Yeah theyre not the same as the stock tires on dry pavement for sure. Last week was a LONG week driving around with those stock tires...really bad on snow or ice. So now, after spending lots on these, the BOV is on hold til maybe february. BOOO.[/b]

I did the math and the price of the service plan was the same as the cost of 1 tire. I figured I would pay out of
pocket when it happened instead of the extra coin out the door.

Putting summer tires back on in the middle of the winter is about the same as washing your car in the summer- it'll guarantee that it will rain/snow the next day.
So yeah, put them on. I love snow.

The discount plan is definitely worth it. I've never had to buy a new tire unless it was due to wear thanks to the service plan.
