I posted earlier but it obviously didn't go through. Oh well, Hi, I'm Jim Outlaw from Arvada . I have an '07 RX8 that I've had for about a month. Just long enough for it to get rearended last Friday noon. Bummed me out. :6319a792:Just talked to the insurance adjuster who said no problem getting it repaired. Probably $1500. to get it fixed. It was a low speed impact at a stop light. Hurt my neck about as much as the car.
Anyways, I love the car. I'm about to put an aftermarket aluminum radiator and one of those souped up Mazmart water pumps in it to help cool it down in this freakin Denver heat.

Welcome aboard and good luck with the repair. When I was rear ended, it was closer to $3k, without significant damage. Bumper/trunk, left tail light and a respray.

Looks like the damage didn't get into the trunk area. At least nothing obvious. I'll let Gateway Mazda figure that out. Her insurance will take care of the whole thing. That's the good part. Wonder if they'll throw in some new tires and a turbo????? HMMMMM

Update: No more RX8! I put about $1500.00 into it trying to get rid of the overheating issues and gave up on it.:mad: I really liked it but it had to go. I traded it for an '08 MX5 GT with only 24K on it.:) It's a Hard Top Convert and I love it. It has a ton more power than the old '97 Miata. Not quite as much as the RX8 but it drives a lot friendlier. I'll post a pic this weekend when I get time
