AP logs in need of help.

Postby redspeedy3 » Sun Jul 31, 2011 9:14

I have been doing some logging in the last few days. Is there anyone on here that could look at my log and see what they think? I have been told that my g/s is really low. I wander if it's low because of being in Denver. for some reason it wont let me attach my log. I will link a site to see it at.

Your g/s is low because of the altitude. Everything else looks fine. Your boost may be a bit on the high side spiking to 20psi. Might need some meth to bring those BATs down, heh.

should I down the boost to 18psi then? I was going off of what Cobb said. Cobb says that a K04 can take up to 20psi stage 2 from 3k to 5k.

Cobb knows more about this car than I do, so if they say it can handle it, then it probably can. On really cold days my car would hit 20psi briefly, and it was not tuned to hit that much boost, so just be careful when it starts getting colder and keep an eye on the boost if it's hitting 20psi when it's hot out.

that's true. I even have it dialed back to 19psi and it's still getting 20psi. As you may know the boost is not 100% what you tell it to be. I think to be safe I may just put it back to 18psi so I may hit 19's.

The stock Turbo can handle that boost, but for only a few months before it goes to shit. Especially at this altitude. Our cars are load based, not boost based, so by tuning to boost there's a really good chance you're going to fry the Turbo, just a matter of time. Up here I would not recommend going above 18 psi.

You also only had it for a month and then got rid of the car. So you have no idea if the turbo would have lasted any length of time like that.
