I've always liked the Mark II and Mark III supras better. I really like the Mark III Turbo cars. The Mark IV cars are overrated.

Same can be said for the FD's and the R34. But irregardless of the FF movies, those 3 cars are awesome in their own standings. Now if you prefer an FD over a Supra, that's all well and good, everyone is entilted to their opinion. But to put the car on blast like it's a piece of pooh on wheels doesn't seem on the level. In a dream world, I'd love to own all three (can I throw in a VR4) each has it's own identity enjoy them for their individual merits, and not just a comparo.

Of those three only the FD is appealing, the other two are overweight pigs. Having worked on all three, I will pick the FD any day of the week to work on, buy parts for, or drive in traffic. I would definitely pick the FD if anything resembling a curve is involved. Truth told, if I was going to spend the money on either the Nissan or the Toyota that they bring in this country, Id buy a Porsche and laff uncontrollaby.

Untrue, the Supra is quite appealing to me. Don't make the mistake of thinking that your own personal views are universally shared.

I've started liking the Mk3 a lot more in recent years. There was a gold one in Okinawa that was ridiculously fast, and I have a friend back home that has one and his is stupid fast too.

You know what a 600rwhp and 1200rwhp Supra have in common? They both run 11's....
I kid kid...but no, really.
I do like Supra's, but owning one has to be a pain. No one will race you save for cars with serious power, like twin turbo Cobras and turbo literbikes (which could be a good thing, less ricers to mess with). Modding a Supra is a VERY VERY expensive proposition. Even though the motor can handle up to 550rwhp+ in stock form, turbo kits, exhaust system, even intakes, are all expensive. Plus, no one really gives a shit about your Supra until you're making 4 digit horsepower at the drive wheels. Talk about a large mountain to climb. Of course it can be done (it's been proven time and time again), but hey, people can get 600 or 700rwhp out of a 2-rotor FD, doesn't mean it's easy (or cheap).
Of course this is all moot if you got the cash to burn and can just to go buy a Supra then haul it to a shop (that hopefully knows what he hell they're doing) drop AT LEAST as much as you paid for the car, but probably twice as much, in parts and labor and then you'll have a car that is such a hand full on the street and has so much turbo lag you'll never want to drive it. Winning.
