It sucks it happened. I'm glad the Access Port was still sitting there. The stereo, window, and body damage can be fixed. It's the deductible I'm not looking forward to paying. Thanks for all the kind words.

Pisses me off that there are people who actually will just drive around neighborhoods looking for something to steal and vandalize.

And sometimes it seems like they do it just for spite, like in Eric's case with the Wal-Mart radio and stock steelie? How much money could you possibly get for those things?? Seriously lol.

I thought about this same thing, but with a paintball gun or something else non-lethal. I'm not trying to go to jail LOL. Seriously though, maybe even frozen paintballs, if that works. Just wait for them to come back...street justice LOL!

Wow really? A stock steelie and a Wal-Mart stereo?? They must have been really stupid or really hard up.

Usually just stupid. I have had cars broken into and have always been amazed at what they took and what they left behind. I always figure its a bunch of dumbass kids or cracked out losers.

That sucks. Geez, good thing I don't live in the area anymore apparently. Street parking only (for us) sucked.

Wow. I wouldn't expect them that far off Alameda. I was only 8 blocks North of you.

Now that I think about it there was this SUV that made an odd lane change behind me on Speer that day. They switched lanes one to my left and I changed lanes one to my right. They ended up changing lanes two times to get behind me and turned on to Washington with me. I even thought to my elf why are they following me. They got stuck at the stop sign and there were three cars separating us by the time I got to my street I needed to turn on. I felt like they weren't following me cause I did not have visual on them. After I turned off Wasihngton and on to the other street I didn't pay much attention. They could have spotted me and just went around the area till they saw the car. IDK. It's just speculation.

that's weird, could've been them,

Just got the WWPNA newsletter today, and they talk about increased crime, they say car theft/break-ins increase in the winter time, and a lot of people around here are complaining about it, and that there aren't enough cops to do shit about it. they have several pages on it...but nothing too worthy...

And guess what? they are reverting Alameda/Downing back to the way it was because it messed up traffic too much, (we could have told them that before they did it in the first place) So they're reverting it to the way it was, and adding a light at Marion/Alameda...
What a waste of money..

Haven't seen the newsletter yet. But why in the hell are they gonna add a light at Marion? Are they gonna get rid of the light in the middle of Marion and Lafayette. If not then those lights are way too close to each other. All 3 lights are gonna be within a half block of each other. What they need to do is get rid of the light in the middle of Marion and Laffayette and move it to Lafayette but have it to where drivers from Lafayette can use it as a stop sign. There is a light set-up like this on 6th Ave. Works well.

If they put the light on Marion all I see is backups on Downing now because people will be stopped in the middle of downing. That is unless they tim the lights right. Even then they lights on downing will cause people to block the cross section at Marion. They can't time the lights to work both ways. They technically can but can the light system do that? I don't think so.

And as for a waste of money did you read about the $8 million Pedestrian bridge they want to build over I-25 between Colo. Blvd. and Evans? What's wrong with people using the Colo. Blvd. or Evans bridges to cross over? It's gonna be a waste like the bridge that was built at Wads. & Bowels. Would you walk up 2 stories and back down to get to the other side or just walk across when the light changes?

BOT! Called the insurance just have to wait for the adjuster.

Another coincidence is that last time my stereo got stolen it was around the same time of the year and on a Sunday night /Monday morning. That happened like Midnight. I was finishing the last 15 min of a show and was gonna head out to put the car in. Then ALARM.

People were complaining about the ped bridge on Wads & Bowels, not sure if it's the same on CO Blvd. and I-25. Just another waste of tax payers money like usual, which is better used to fix up I-270 and I-25 from 84th to E-470.
