Hell yeah I'm serious. I'll go by myself if I have to, but I'd rather not lol. I told Zico that one of you HAS to be done with your car haha. I'd like Eduardo to go too.

Frank has pistons and he's going. You can take whatever car you want, we just try to get as many rotaries as possible.

can't go this year but if you plan on next year I should be able to save up enough to take the 7 out there as long as gas prices don't go any higher.

The event is only $25 to register (and you would need to do so ASAP so seats fill up starting in January) but you obviously have your travel expenses from Colorado to North Carolina and back (gas, food, possibly hotel? Not sure what the caravan is doing) and then the event prefers it you stay at the Nantahala Village Cabins.

I just checked the website (http://dealsgaprotaryrally.com/) and they have announced Nantahala Village is booked, so they have alternative lodging within close distances listed on the website. The event is 3 days long.

It's actually more to register now, but only by a few bucks I think. I paid $30 in December and in January it went up to $35 or $40, I don't remember. Frank and I are rooming with Adam Griffith (afgmoto77 or whatever) and his family, and Adam said it would be $30 per night for each of us, and we're staying for four nights I believe. So I figure $120 to stay there, free room and board at my parents' places there and on the way back (I'm seriously thinking about taking extra leaving and staying home on the way back though), not sure how much for gas, maybe $400 or so for the whole trip I hope lol. Man, maybe I can't afford this trip LOL. I hope I get a good tax return haha.

if you are thinking 400 for gas, I can cut that in half.:p

Let me look into it. Would you guys mind having a riced out 3 in your group...once we get there, I'll pretend like I don't know you:lol:

edit: Microtel appears to be full as well.

Well figure $400 for gas if you have a gas guzzling, Al Gore hating rotary RX-7  for a more economical vehicle, like a Mazda3, your gas expenses should be significantly less.

According to Google Maps it's roughly 1,374 miles to Deals Gap from Denver (22 hrs 17 min) for +/- roughly 100 miles on that depending where Eric's parent's place is. Plus you have your driving miles while at the event (this is a driving event!) so add 100 or so extra miles. Then obviously double it since it's a round trip so I would ballpark for 3000 miles total. You can then obviously use your average MPG to calculate your gas money.

I wish I could go, but too many factors say I can't. Car probably won't be ready for 3k miles, can't get the time off work easily, and we have two out of state Weddings this summer we of course have to go to...I am 100% committed to next year though, come hell or high water!
