Thanks. I plan to hit the shows this summer hard. I've never had a car show worthy before.

I will let everyone know what I find out tomorrow.

Wow. My first love. Although I fell in love with the '82 RX7. I never got to buy one (as I bought an '82 280ZX when I turned 17), but my love for that car turned into my mom's love for the car also (she bought an '82 RX7 6 months after I bought my '82 ZX). LOVE these cars still to this day. :) Great find, cant wait to see more pics of it when it's done.

The converter is here and looks great. I plan to get it and the throwout bearing installed very soon.

I met with the paint guy last night and we have a plan of attack. We will need to swap out the entire front end, everything in front of the shock towers. I have the front of my old car that we will use in its entirety. Basically we found out the there is way too much damage to the front of the car to make it work without going to this extent of work. He is going to let me remove everything from the front of the engine compartment. This includes the radiator, radiator support, battery tray, air box, a/c condenser, oil cooler, etc. Also I will be moving things like the wiring harness out of the way.

While I'm working on pulling the front apart this afternoon, he will be working on minor dent repair. He said other than the front end, the car is very clean overall. There are a few minor rust repairs, one quarter size hole on the side of the car, a few small rust holes around the windshield, rusted upper inner rear fenders (over wheel), and slight bin rust. The car has a few parking lot dings but nothing bad.

Overall I'm very happy with how the car is coming along. The paint will be ordered today as well as all the other supplies. I will be ordering all the seals, emblems, etc this weekend.

Thanks.

The car will be cut in the next 2 days. Today will be the start of the sanding and prep. I met with the paint guy last night to start on the getting a parts list together. I need to get things ordered asap. We plan to meet tonight and finish the list so I can order tonight.

I am very nervous. I'm not the one actually making the cut because I know I'd screw it up. Basically he will be making the cut a few inches to the front of the shock towers. He will then go back and drill the spot welds and make any additional cuts.
