You do want the propane units somewhat ventilated. I've used it non-ventilated before and it wasn't a big deal, though.

Electric ones CAN work well but they really need to be 220v, 110v electric heaters are a waste, might as well be a space heater, they won't heat a garage for shit really.

So after getting everything stripped down, I sent the crossmember out for powdercoating. I found the closest color I could get to the color of my car.

I cleaned up the engine a bit and started masking it off.

Here's the finished job. Still have some cleaning up to do with some of the accessories but you get the picture. Oil pan still needs to be taken off and cleaned up also.

I cleaned up the engine bay some. Still have a few more cleaning sessions left, then I'll give it a new coat of paint.

I also have a few parts coming. Finally going to get power steering into the car. Ordered the material to make a line for it. I also have a new fuel rail coming so that I can get my fuel rail covers on. Goal is to get the engine bay painted by early next week. I have a short vacation planned right after then that will slow things down a bit but I still plan to have the engine in and running by the end of the month.

That's the plan. I'm just waiting for my paint to come in. I was hoping it will get here by the end of the week but more likely early next week.

Thanks, brotha! I appreciate the compliment.

Well, I got notification that my paint has shipped! Should be here Friday. That means I should be painting this weekend. With luck, I'll have the engine in before I take off on vacation.

I also picked up my new fuel rail today. I'm going to work on installing it tonight.

Now you are really going to need to remove the writing on the intake.

It looks really good.

So I started the RE headlight install earlier today. I had to do some trimming to make the lights fit.

Here's a pic before the cuts.

After alls done, here's the lights installed without the covers.

Since the weather has been cooperating, I also started painting the engine bay. Got some tubing from Eric and made my makeshift paint booth. Not like the real thing, but eh, it serves the purpose.

Just got the primer on tonight. Plan to hit the base coat and clear tomorrow. Here's a peak.
