Headlight restoration
Have you guys bothered with any kits ie; turtle wax and 3m. Which is the best? Or do you have any other suggestions?

Okay I'm here to settle this.
I "cleaned" my headlights with the turtle wax headlight restoration kit using a power wheel attached to a corded drill. I tried to fix my dad's 98' Pontiac with the same kit and nothing happened...
So I went out and bought some wet sand paper from an automotive store and sanded teh shit out of them. When I was done sanding they were clear as from the factory. I spent like $10 on sandpaper and $13 on the kit. If the places you talk to can beat that price go for it!

The Meguiars kit has a UV protection coat in it.
And since I do these restos at work and at home, if you do get a kit, make sure it has the UV stuff.

I've heard good things about the 3M kit but when I did this on my Outback years ago, I used a jitterbug sander and at least 1,000 grit wetsand paper. Once I got them clear/back to factory, I clearcoated them and never messed with them again. Something with UV protection sounds like the way to go, so when I do it again, I'll look for something with UV protection.
