My new Rx7 R1

Postby 4g63<13b » Mon Apr 02, 2012 9:14

Well i never thought id see this day, I traded my 2003 evo 8 for a 1993 Rx7 R1. About two months ago i spun my evo 8 off the road through a barb wire fence it wasnt really a bad crash just spun out on some gravel on the road. Mechanically everything was 100% but there was a good quarter dent, ripples all along the quarter as it runs to the front fender, needed a new front bumper and side skirt and the roof and passanger doors are scratched. I posted it on craigs for trades only not really even thinking i would trade, i had planned on just fixxing it. This guy with this rx7 found the post and contaced me, after a few meeting and test drives and the fact that this is my tuner Nicks old car from mac auto, i decided to pull the trigger and trade. And I couldnt be happier! Its a 1993 rx7 R1 with 50k on the motor and 90k on chassis. Now on to some pics.

My evo.

Chickenwafer Yea its nicks old one!, i actually got it from nicks buddy Tino who didnt even register it he just had it in storage, but i had thought Tino told me it was non sequential, then i talked to nick who said it was sequential so im not 100% sure how its set up, if Nick did have it set up non sequential then im guessing it still is because this guy Tino didnt do anything with it.

There's more than enough FD owners and rotary owners in general to be all the help you would need doing just about anything to your car. Welcome! Nice 7 :)

I think I was confused actually, Nick left the car sequential. So it should still be sequential. Do you feel the secondary hit at 4500rpm?

To me, rotaries are FAR simply than complex valve train motors haha. We have plenty of FD and rotary owners here, feel free to ask any questions :1a98aa81:
