I know I'll buck a trend here, but I sold my XD 45 not long after I bought it.
I am a full size steel .45 kind of guy and have several types. I have never owned or shot a Glock (for that matter never touched off a round of 9mm).

I do own Smith & Wesson's version of the XD in .45 (see a theme there?) I do like that one. The XD was not an impressive shooter to me, but then it was the first polymer thing I ever shot and the XD had been improoved since then. My XD was one of the eariest. I like a heavy pistol and I shoot typically at ranges of 25 to 50 yards. Most of the .45's I keep let me hit a 9" round steel plate at 25-35 yards and a 12x18 plate at 50.

They would be nicer if they weren't the california special. Surprised they don't have a sticker on the front that says "Bullet comes out of this end".

LOL. I kind of like all the safety features on it since it will be sitting next to my precious goods.

Unlike some others that does not have any safety and their definition of safety is "double action".

Anypone able to give me an approximate value range on these two weapons:
--AR-15, it is an HBAR Sport edition,

--AK (actually a MAK-90, the Chinese, import-legal version)

Have an opportunity to purchase and am not familiar with them.

No idea. A freind mentioned he was selling his ar while we were in Leadville. This is all I know of the gun. I shot the AK. It was fun, but not sure i need one. It had the folding metal stock.

HBAR is heavy barrel. Without any info on the AR it's hard to say how much it would run you.

If its a Colt then it will cost more pennies.

The AK is fun, I'm thinking about getting one myself. You can get a decent AK for relatively cheap and the 7.62x39 rounds are cheaper than the .223/5.56 rounds too. AND most AKs doesn't mind shooting those cheap steel case Russian ammo either.
