WTB: Looking to buy FD parts, Aftermarket Intake, Interior plastics, etc.

Postby FC3Sguy » Sun May 06, 2012 9:14

I have my FD listed for sale on Craigslist:

http://cosprings.craigslist.org/cto/2996547659.html

I'm looking to replace the stock intake box and plastic hoses with a used aftermarket intake kit if anyone has one, let me know the price.

I'm also looking for interior plastic pieces such as gauge cluster, cluster hood, and dash and door speaker grills. Also any black rear hatch flooring and carpet.

Just trying to add a few things to get a sell. If anyone has any of this it would be much appreciated, not looking to spend too much :)

I saw your car FS the other day looking for FDs just for fun. I was wondering if it belonged to anyone here! I guess it does :p

GLWS. I really wish I could buy it. I don't think I'll be getting $8500 any time soon though.

Yup. I have it listed there as well. Looking to step down to a S5 TII. The FD is just too expensive for me to keep. I know the FC in and out and parts are much cheaper.

I saw this FD on cl earlier. Nice car and reasonably priced.

Is there something wrong with your factory airbox? The stock intake is a good setup and given that your car is relatively stock and you're selling it, I would keep the OEM intake. Instead, look into putting that money into the little things you mentioned in the add that need attention (oil and fluid change, New fender liners, etc). I think this would be money better well spent. The more factory it looks, the less toyed with the buyer assumes it is.

The car would also look 100x better if you could detail the engine bay, the UIM is filthy, the main fuse block is detached from its bracket (or its missing) etc, and the aforementioned fender liners that are missing.

These are just my humble suggestions I feel would help you sell the car quicker.

The coolant has been replaced. Changing the oil and filter tomorrow. The stock air box has a nipple broken off from the top rear that goes to a hose. I'd just rather have the aftermarket intake in case I decide to keep it. Anyone have any fender liners that mount under the front wheel wells??

The car went to Texas and was in the care of my brother while I deployed to Afghanistan. I returned in December but wasn't able to go pick the car back up until last weekend.

He's from Castle Rock and I did tell him to stay in contact. I told him I'd be getting an FC soon and that once I did I would be looking to go to a few meets.
