I'd go with the flux capacitor...go back in time to when you could beat them!

Amanda is a heck of a driver.

Don't do it! Expensive tire replacement is just part of the natural progression of upgrading. :) And it's totally worth an extra couple hundred every 2 years or so.

I didn't have my MS3 long enough to need to buy summer tires for it, but my SRT-4 was only about $600 for a new set of summer tires. Just paid about $1000 for tires for the Mustang. $900 for the tires online and $100 for mounting and balancing. And I will take 275/35/19 over the 205/50/17 I used to run any day of the week.

I didn't realize the mustangs had such wide tires on them. The S has 255 35 18 on the rear. Front is 225 40 18 I believe (need to look). The wheels are a nice high quality set, but they do push the car out of a stock SCCA class.

It came with 255s all around. I put 275s on it when I replaced the originals. And I didn't know you were talking about aftermarket wheels. If you're trying to get back to stock class then that's a different story.

Woah, 255s? That's pretty big for an AP1 IMO. Stock for an AP1 is 225 rear / 205 front. That's too narrow though. My favorite setup so far has been 235s all around. I never auto-x'd it, but I had it on the road course at PPIR, and it felt incredible. I bet you could get away with running AP2 wheels in a stock class (which are wider) and do 235 or 245 all around.

I wouldn't recommend a turbo S2000 unless you have a lot of time and can put a continuous effort into making it work. The F20/F22 has forged internals, and takes well to boost, BUT it still wasn't designed for it. It was designed to be a high-revving N/A motor, and I'm told that you basically have to break it (disable VTEC and re-tune) to make a turbo work well. Guys I know with turbo S2Ks are constantly working on them. Based on that and my own experience with turbo-swapped cars in general...I'd say that if you want more power, get a different car.

Anyway congrats on the purchase, and yeah, let's see some pics!

I have no intentions of altering the motor. Just saying if I were to, it would be a turbo as opposed to SC.

The 255 fit pretty good under there. I have seen some people saying 265, though those are on 17s.

Like I said before, almost all cosmetic mods. Anything done performance wise will be to suspension...if any.

Congrats on the S2K man. Always loved those cars...just wish I could fit in them haha. I think I actually got legitimately stuck in one at a Honda dealership...took a few minutes of panic to get me out haha!

Anyways don't be a stranger...come to meets still and hang out! We won't judge you for rolling a Honda (to your face at least...).

I have a buddy down here with a turbo S2K (GT35R I think) and I hear it's scary fast. I think he said it's putting down 480whp uncorrected. Although I'm not sure how much work he does on it. I'll have to ask him.
