It is nice! I was ripping through the gears on saturday night haha. Shorter throws, clicks into place, no play. The bushings help make a difference too. I think I'll want to add the counterweight and weighted shift knob in the future though.

So I haven't made any new mods since last time...but I did pay off the car yesterday! It was a 6-year loan and I figured I'd be saving a bunch of money without paying all of that interest to the bank. I now am the proud owner of my very first car title! w00t! w00t!

While this isn't a mod, I at least will no longer have a car payment = more disposable income for toys.

Congrats! I remember paying off the final $0.13 on my FD, going into the bank with 13 pennies lol. It's a great feeling.

I'm looking at getting a weighted shift knob, and checking out
TWM: Type R [graphite] 440 grams
http://www.twmshiftknobs.com/shiftknobs/type-r-shiftknobs.html

JBR: cylindrical 625 grams
http://www.jamesbaroneracing.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=45_164_51

I'd like to try borrowing one before buying to see if it's my cup of tea (plus these things are darned expensive). Does anyone have one they could let me borrow for a quick drive?

Thanks

first of all, don't waste your money on a TWM shift knob. best bet is to find a used one on a forum or something. if not, go with JBR. I have had a Blox knob as well, it was good. (talk to aurora axela about that, he may be in the market to sell it) and now i have the JBR spherical knob (1.8 lbs) and i love it. the ONLY thing you should ever get from TWM is there STS.

I'm not at home or else I would do this, but do we know what the stock shift knob weighs for comparison's sake?

Nice work on the car! I also really like the looks of the front end.

Found a great deal on some H&R coilovers and plonked down on a set today:
http://store.propartsusa.com/i-239474.aspx

If they ship on time (/knocks on wood), anyone want to help me install them? I have experience with shocks/spring setups, but it's been a few years. Plus I've never tuned a set of coils before.

Will provide endless beer/pizza.
I have a garage and tools.

Is anyone handy with building/carpeting sub boxes or know someone who is good? I have some new carpet to redo the front face after installing the new driver...but I am hesitant to do it myself.
