The color seems lighter than the car was as I remember it. It looks great. Those rotaries have a lot of wiring everywhere!
Congratulations on your progress!

it is a bit lighter, mainly because colors tend to darken over time. Part of what makes it look so light though is because it's in the sun in the last set of pics.

(remembers the amount of wiring in the mz3)
The wiring actually isn't that bad. the harness from the driver's side takes care of most functions. lights, sensors, horns, main power, etc. The passenger side runs the FI system and that is it.

Worked on it some more after work last night. Wiring is all cleaned up and has new electrical tape covering it. I installed the battery tray. I also hooked up the oil cooler. The engine is all cleaned up and I repainted the crossmember.
What I have left in the engine compartment:
-install A/C system
-install radiator, fan, and shroud
-install air box
-install coolant tank
-mount relays (6)
-buy and install battery
-fluids
I have to wait to install the lights till the paint is done.

Probably never going to find another free car, lol. Not really a free car anymore, I have over $7k into it.

The motor is basically ready to start. One of the ac hard lines needs a pin hole to be repaired to get it charged. I replaced all the o-rings in the system. The entire engine bay is together. I need to get a battery still. The brake system is also ready to do the final bleeding. The cooland will need all the air out of the system but we need to start it first. I need to do the bushings in the front end still.

Chris' car is really really nice and reflects the effort he's put into it. It's kind of a brand-new 1985 car. Congratulations, Chris!
Hey Osky's7 - If you want one that's nice (not as nice as Chris' car) and not quite free, I've got a GS (carburetor, 12A) that's for sale.
https://sites.google.com/site/inventoryrx7/home/the-street-car is a website all about it.
Price is now $900, including spares like seats, interior door panels, (neither needed), center console for dash, rare NOS window regulator (needed), and a bunch more.
I don't want to hijack Chris' thread, so please PM or EM me if you're interested. (Thanks, Chris.)
