Got a few more things for the AR. A Daniel Defense QD endplate, one of the new Magpul MS3 QD slings, and a BCM gunfighter charging handle.

Image

And one for fun. Bore sighted the AR, albeit not at a great distance since it's an apartment. Had to sight into the garage just to get a moderate distance.. lol

Image

And my super ghetto steady rest so I could clear the kitchen counter.. ha.

Image

Anyone procuring new things? I can't be the only one.

Nice!...
Well, I've added a Recoil Butt Pad to the Mosin Nagant...
Last time I shot it was fun but painful. Only shot 40 rounds and I was done. Having that rifle smacking your shoulder with a metal butt stock didn't help. No bruises on me by my friend had a huge bruise on his shoulder from his Mosin. But I love shooting that thing. I think it might replace my AR as my favorite rifle to shoot with.
About 19-20 cents per round, no bullet spraying like other semi auto and very accurate. Going out to shoot is not as expensive as it used to be. :)

I know the feeling! I wish 5.56 was 19-20 cents a round

So, I started a new project.
I ordered the stripped lower over a month ago and it finally showed up last week.
Image

Here's the MOE lower kit that I just installed on the lower over the weekend. (with no left over parts. LOL)
Image

Here's the MOE MilSpec stock and buffer kit that's on it's way.

Now, that I have the complete lower... I'm not sure what I want to do with the upper yet. I'm leaning towards 20" heavy barrel set up since I already have a 16".

So I've decided to add some colors to my lowers. Turned out pretty nice.
The top one is my current one and the bottom is the new build. The new buffer tube and stock should come in today.

Looking good Batman! I've heard good things about PSA.

VRx8, nice choice! I recently picked up an XD-40 too.

So my build is "functional" now. By "functional", I mean it can be fired. I have a few more things on it's way. Magpul Angle grip, offset picatinny, Red Dot for the offset picatinny, Muzzle brake.

Here's the list of parts without the attachments:
  • PSA Stripped lower - $79.95
  • PSA Gen 2 MOE LPK Flat Dark Earth - $49.95
  • PSA MOE Stock Kit Flat Dark Earth - $79.95
  • PSA 20'' A2 HBar Upper 1:7 twist Chrome Lined bore and chamber (5.56) - $339.95
  • A2 Flash Hider - $0.00
  • PSA Bolt Carrier Group (M16 BCG) - $110.00
  • AR15/M16 Charging Handle - $17.95
  • Magpul MOE Hand Guard, Rifle-Length Flat Dark Earth - $30.00

Total = $707.75

Since it's a 1:7 twist I should be able to shoot heavier grain bullet more accurately. The heaviest I have is a 5.56 62gr M855. Which shot OK... But to my surprise, I tried my .223 55gr that I have and it shot a quarter size group at 100 yards (2 groups of 5 pic below). Somebody with steadier hands might be able to get better grouping than me. I tried the cheap steel case Russian ammo for giggles and it was all over the paper. So, I still have to find the ammo that it like the best... I've just order some 75gr match stuff, we'll see how that will turn out. It should shoot a tighter group. I'll try my my other 5.56 55gr on my next outing too. So far, I am very pleased with the result for the price. I may or may not get a free float hand guard in the future.

Oh and PSA quality is AWESOME!!!

Here are some pics.

Nice build, nice shooter, Great price! Well done.

Last time I shot groups like that, there were powder burns on the paper!
