Time for an update.

A little while ago, installed the weighted shift knob and counter-weight.

Then installed the H&R coilovers with Henry:

All in all, it was a decent install. We ran into some snags, mainly getting the OEM shocks out of the perch it sits in...However, we prevailed! Unfortunately, the front springs are not seated properly, and it's bugging me because we really tried to find the best angle. I'm going to redo the rears and raise them up a half inch, and then give the fronts another shot here in the first weekend of November (no i don't drive it much - haha). Has anyone installed H&R coilovers that could help? I'm willing to pay you for your time! PM me for details.

Well at least it looks good!

What do you mean tey aren't seated correctly? The springs on the perch?

I haven't messed with coilovers yet, but I may be interested in checking yours out when you go back in to play with them.

The angle is wrong and so the springs aren't correctly seated. So it winds up and then pops when driving - lol.

Finally got around to fixing the coilovers. Very simple fix really.
1) There are two markers on the strut cap that I needed to line up when swiveling the cap around.f
2) When lowering the car and having the weight of the engine on the shocks, the nut on the top of the strut cap needs to be tightened up.

When I last installed this in early october, I was in a rush to get to the airport and wasn't able to do any sort of troubleshooting.

And here she sits now(sorry for cellphone quality):

Cliffs Notes Review on the H&R coilovers.

The ride quality is very good, and the car turns on a dime with little body roll at all. I took her for a highspeed run and the tires didn't rub at all. I can feel the imperfections in the road a little more now, but the car is still solid and doesn't rattle. (maybe in the future?! - haha). The fronts sit about a 1/4" higher than the rear, so I will be adjusting that next time I'm in town. I'm going for 1-finger wheel gap all the way around. Couldn't be happier!

Got into town last night and lowered the front coilovers 2x turns and it sits at 1-finger wheel gap to match the rears. I also installed red Mutkei lug nuts last night. No pics yet, but it looks sweet. My dad thinks I should get Green ones to alternate with the red ones to be 'festive'. lol.

What's up everyone,

I'm pretty excited to be modding my car again for 2013 summer, and thought I'd share some pics, because let's face it, we all like posts with pics :)

I wanted to upgrade from the hypertech, so I have one of these little computers now. Access Port:
Image

And to take full advantage of this, it was worth upgrading the exhaust, so I opted for the full turbo-back. CP-E exhaust; Catted; black-tip:
Image

Going hand-in-hand with the above items, it is necessary to upgrade the fuel pump. Autotech internals:
Image

Going with the red theme. JBR Intake with turbo inlet pipe:
Image

This came recommended for our engine to preserve the life of our Dizi's. JBR Oil Catch Can:
Image

HIDs for the foglights. I'll also be doing the modification to have the fogs come on independently as well. RPM DDR slimline HIDs:
Image

So far, the only things I've installed are the Accessport and the Intake. Let me know if you would like to learn/help out with other installations!

Great shit man. Where do you stand with your motor mounts? That's most of the stuff I want to do to my car, so I'm excited to hear what kind of performance gains you feel. The AP alone made a difference for me.

I'd love to help out/hang around during some of your installs Paul! I haven't seen you in forever man!
That being said, I won't be back in town for the summer until May 18th so let me know if you still have anything left to do after then!

What's up bud!? Hope your first year of college was awesome. I loved my first year...good memories.

But anyways, I'm hoping to tackle one thing at a time, and to be done before 5/18!
