First post, questions about 82 rx7 value

Postby SCHNEB » Thu Nov 15, 2012 9:14

Im looking to buy a 1982 rx7 from a customer, bright red obviously original red, mint condition and 44k miles. Some sort of weird gold winged badge on the front bumper (?), gold wheels aftermarket obviously.

Honestly I have very little know how on rx7's in general, these early models, are even worse to me haha. The car is absolutely brilliant though, and the condition is something I cant ignore on it

She is asking me to offer a price, I am asking you fine folks on a value of what you think this car is so I can give her a fair price and not lowball her to offend.

Thank you ahead of time guys :)

Can you get some pics of the car?

Price depends on the model (S, GS, GSL)

If you want, you can PM me your phone number and info. It would be much easier to explain the models and any other questions you might have.

Pictures would still be a huge help.

I sent you a text. I'm not in the market for another car so no worries about me buying it from under you.

I have a good feeling this is the same car I saw in Larkspur. If so, it's GORGEOUS!! I have a pic of it. It has super low mileage too. But she was asking for quite a bit more than I can spend at the moment. I told her I'd let you guys know but I'm not sure if I ever did. I hope it's the same car, I'd love to see someone get this and take care of it.

Is this the one?

lol whuut  No offense but the chances of me coughing up 5k for an 82 base model rx7 are none to nada. KBB shows 3k for excellent AT THAT MILEAGE. I understand there may be some sort of collector value possibility there but not 2 grand worth to me lol.

thanks for the help guys, guess I will just stick to my hondoodlers instead
