Very cleverly applied tape on the front to give the appearance of a square opening. Shape seems vaguely similar to the Impreza, the sloping rear hatch will cut in to cargo space.

I agree, and don't really like impreza's back side, hmmmmmm.

barf. Maybe it's just me, but the Impreza hatch is not something to copy... This doesn't look promising

Have to agree there. I liked the previous generation Impreza both 4-door and 5-door (I own a 4-door) but this new generation is ugly. Will reserve judgement on the new 3 until we see a more complete picture of it.

I guess I am alone in thinking that it looks like they mated a subaru front end with a first generation MZ3/MS3 rear, or I am misunderstanding others comments.

Some official photos, leaked a few hours early. Looks like that early spy photo was dead on. And it's being called a 2014 as far as I know, not a 2015.
