As copied/pasted from my sportbike club forum... Forgive the wording of the ad, considering that I'm posting this on a Mazda forum...
69XXX miles on the car, but less than 3000 [yes, 'three thousand'] on the new engine and new turbocharger.
Grand Touring trim (aka top of the line loaded, not the "Sport" model)
Rare "Black Cherry Mica" color
6-gear manual transmission
If you aren't familiar with this car, it's a turbo-charged, direct injection 4cyl, with AWD. Out of the box it's intended to be a luxury'esq competitor of cars like the STi and Evo. Perhaps more along the line of a Legacy GT.
What it lacks in balls-to-the-wall racerboy specs, hard edged rally appeal, and cheap shitty interior, it more than makes up for in classy leather, heated seats, grown up styling and creature comforts (moon roof perhaps, proximity unlock and keyless ignition... auto up/down on all 4 window anyone...). Make no mistake though, this car is fast as ####. I'll literally put it up against anything with 4 wheels costing less than 6-figures, and it'll be right there at the checkered flag. Some of the go-fast extras I have had professionally installed on this car are:
- A Mazdaspeed cold air intake.
- A Vibrant turbo inlet pipe.
- A SLS Performance "test pipe".
- A Magnaflow cat-back exhaust.
- A James Barone Racing shortshifter plate and weighted shift knob.
- An Extreme Turbo Systems top-mount intercooler.
- A BNR Supercars GT28RS turbocharger.
- And finally, a Cobb AP handheld tuner. Think of it as a "Power Commander" for the car, with more flexibility for self-tuning!
And those are only the goodies I've added for performance.... For style points, I've done things like adding:
- OEM Mazda RX8 wheels.
- A shark-fin antenna by VG.
- And a weight saving & beautiful carbon fiber hood that I've had color paint matched with Black Cherry Mica accents.
It's a car that I've loved since the day that I've bought it and all the add-ons and hop-ups have been done for you. I pretty much keep it in the garage unless it's nice out, so it hasn't seen much bad weather, but the AWD does come in handy when forecasters get it wrong. It can make a solid and fun daily driver, and when the occasional stoplight race comes your way it's more than willing to battle. And if it's your only car, it will handle Colorado Winters without a flinch.
I won't even go into details about how if you buy the car, I'll throw in the stock parts with it too, and even my amazing xCARlink ipod integrator, so that you can control your ipod/iphone with all the factory stereo, like the steering wheel buttons and shit...
At this point you might be hesitant that because it's a "tuner car" that you're getting somebody elses abused ex-girlfriend.... Wrong! I have taken car of this car as meticulously, and have the records, receipts, and literature to prove it. Groove Mazda knows this car like the back of their Groove Mazda hand. They performed the installation of the engine and the turbocharger.

No way man. I don't mention all the girls that dumped me either, when I tell people that I'm happily married now. =)

I'm pretty confident that people in the market for this segment have an implied understanding of that, going into their purchase consideration.
Despite any issues that my car has had (big or small) what I think sets me apart from most sellers, is that I can prove a conscious and on-going effort of me caring for the car. Whether that be proactive and preventative measures that I took, or reactive and reactionary measures that were necessary to correct a failure. Yes... shit happens. But I'll argue that it was never from lack of concern, or neglect of the vehicle.
The bottom line is that cars are wear items. Your car, my car, any car that actually gets "used"; and my car has and continues to receive attention, that far surpasses that of most vehicles. The mods on the car are neither inherently extenuating or mitigating, they really just depend on your perception.

It is a phenomenal car, I actually started looking at them after seeing your car.
Nothing earth-shattering really, Pat. I absolutely love this car and had a lot of fun with my "first try" at the tuning culture. I honestly just think I'm ready for something different.
There's a psychological pleasure with "getting something new", and I have my eye on a few rides. We'll see how it pans out, but in short I'm just ready for somebody else to carry the torch with this one and find my next toy! =)

wow... that price...
Essentially you are asking 20K for a MS6 with 66xxx miles, that has already had major mechanical work.
The car's value is around 10-13k at 66k miles, so you are implying the mods are worth 7-10k...?
Dunno man, I'd part it and hope to get 11 for it with most of the stock parts. There's a handful for sale on craigslist, cars.com, etc in this state... all cheaper than yours with less miles.

Word.
I got my new BNR turbocharger in today, so Groove will be putting that in this week. The new crate engine got installed awhile back, so I'm basically back together. I realize you're just catching up now, but the "For Sale" price is what it is...
And yes, I knew going-in, that I set the price high. Part of me wants the car not to sell. So yeah... short of trying to defend why I want what-I-want for it, I'll just say that to me, rare breed cars, with brand new engines, brand new big-turbos and lots of other go fast parts, are worth a premium. What you call 66k miles, I also think of as 0k miles... But I'll concede that an argument can be made either way. I'll keep the "part out" suggestion, under consideration.
