Looking for a Speed3

Postby Justin » Mon Apr 08, 2013 9:14

Friday my WRX met an untimely end at the hands of a lady who spun her Corolla into my lane on Hwy 93. I walked away, the car is totaled. Another Mazdaspeed3 is on the short list of replacement vehicles. Anyone looking to sell?

Why not another WRX? Seems like a downgrade, given this site's history. The next logical step in this equation is an Evo...

Sorry to hear about the bad luck. I'm considering the sale of my Mazdaspeed6, if you're interested.

Given price for performance, not a downgrade in my book. The WRX was a 2002, and a total beater (which had its perks). The good news is that so far the insurance company is offering me $2500 more than I paid for it. My 2008 MS3 pulled way, way harder at street RPM. I initally looked for a WRX, but ones with less than 50k miles are around $22k. A MS3 with 50k miles is usually $18k or so. I'd miss the AWD, but I like the 4 grand more.

Thanks guys. This is the second car we've had totaled in 4 years. At least this time probably won't result in long term medical problems. I was pretty lucky to have been mostly able to get out of the way. All those years drifting in gravel lots paid off.

Probably putting on her makeup, shaving her legs, texting and yapping while driving.

I've driven an FR-S. It's about 100bhp short of resembling fun.

(Unless of course having to drive it like a complete asshole, is your idea of fun)

+1 I've driven an FR-S too... It doesn't have any ballz. No fun at all. Handle nice though.

I have read the reviews on the FRS, and was excited about it being a Scion fanboy from back in the day...however, not a lot of car for $26k-$27k

I expected that. It's essentially a RWD Civic Si. Not supposed to be anything more. Price is a bit high though.
